A monthly Irish session for musicians of all ages, skills and abilities. All instruments welcome. Bring your fiddle, guitar, mandolin, bodhran, banjo, tin whistle, flute and other Irish instrument. Learning tunes by ear is preferred, but sheet music is also welcome. Bring your own sheet music (and a few spare copies if you plan on teaching a new tune). Some suggested books might be The Fiddler’s Fakebook (contains some standard Irish tunes), Jigs, Reels and Hornpipes, The Comhaltas Session book, and The Session website (on a tablet). Come and play or listen and learn and bring your friends!
