In 1992, the month of May was designated by President George H. W. Bush as Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. The annual celebration honors the many contributions and accomplishments of Asian Americans, Pacific Islander Americans, and Native Hawaiians.
We are delighted to work with the Carlsbad City Library to celebrate AAPI Month with three talented and accomplished members of the AAPI community: New York Times bestselling author Kristina McMorris; TikTok and IG megastar and founder of Ahnest Kitchen, Sarah Ahn; and debut novelist and attorney Rosa Kwon Easton.
